Detective Lilly Rush
Lilly’s Character- Lilly has remained the only female detective on the show until initial two seasons. It is shown that her childhood was not pleasant like other kids and her frustrations from her life experiences encouraged her to become a detective with Police. Her father left the family when she was a kid and her mother was an alcoholic, and dies in the season five finale. She has one younger sister Christina but their relationship got sour when Christina slept with Lilly’s fiancé and later with her partner Detective Scotty. It is also shown that Lilly was sexually assaulted in her childhood which leads her to become a justice lover. She had dated A.D.A. Kite and Joseph, a suspect in a murder case in the second season. In season four she is shot during a hostage situation. She lives alone in her apartment with two pet cats.

Birth Place- Cicinnati, Ohio.
Personal Life- Currently she resides in Los Angeles and is called Kathy at home. In 2003, she got engaged with Randy Hamilton, a financial advisor, but they couldn’t make it to marriage. At present she is dating David Barret, the director and producer of Cole Case.
Career- she started her acting career with minor roles. Her first role was in 1991 with telemovie Long Road Home. Her big break was with role of stringer Lt. Annalisa in TV series Pensacola- wings of Gold in 1997. After acting in The Contender, she caught the eye of Steven Spielberg and earned work in A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Minority Report. Eventually she got her role as detective Lilly in Cold Case in 2003 and this role gave her identity on silver screen.
