Well guys while trying to get the latest information on our favorite show Cold Case, guess what I came across. I came to know the story idea for the 10^th episode of the show that is going to be aired on 30^th November. So as usual I decided to just give you a sneak peak into the episode. To start with the recurring cast member Tania Raymonde will be seen in this episode in the role of Frankie Rafferty. In the episode, Lilly and her team re-open the case of a young politician who was murdered in 2005. The African American politician is seemingly a brave and honest man. He is determined to free the lower class neighborhoods from the menace of drug dealers and gets himself killed in the process. But during the investigation the team comes to know that……………

To know more you will just have to wait and watch the episode on the Sunday that is not too far away. Till then you can let your imaginations run wild. I know there will be hundreds of questions going through your mind right now. What is the truth behind the politician’s murder? Is it just a simple case of murder by drug mafia or is there something else hidden in the dark corners of time? How is Lily and her team going to solve the mystery after a gap of more than three years? What do they find out during the investigation? Questions like these will plague your mind all through this week. But don’t worry you will definitely get your answers on the episode named Street Money. It’s just a few more days to go. I know some you might blame for arousing your curiosity, but hey that will make the episode more exciting to watch. So have fun till then!

After months long wait, finally, the throbbing nights on CBS are back, the season six of “Cold Case” is here. Four out of total twelve episodes have been aired. Lily’s back, once again digging into old wounds and exploring fresh clues out of aging evidences. In sixth season, the show seems more polished and the cold cases this time are more thrilling than ever. Above all, the Narcotics cop Eddie Saccardo is back to the show.

In the first episode “Glory Days”, the squad is looking into an old case of death of a football player. One of his winning trophies gives them a fine shock. It suggests that the team has got a bit earlier time of his death, and he was alive on the evening of tournament, the trophy belongs to. Later on they find that this might be case of steroid cover-up on the player’s hands. How strange. Sometimes I wonder does police face such cases in real life too. Perhaps they too have to investigate into the murder of a living person.

The second episode is “True Calling” where Lily opens the case of a school teacher, who was supposed to be died in a carjacking gone wrong. But the new evidences point that she was not heading to the car at the time of her death. In the next episode, “Wednesday’s Women” they investigate into a case of killing of a woman, who was secretly supplying food to black children in school.

Sometimes I think how interesting it will be for writers to create so many twists in the beginning of the script. In the beginning of every episode, it seems like the case is really confusing, and then they steadily lift up the creamy layers and in the end the truth becomes crystal clear. These writers are truly the master minds. Their hard work shines on the faces of viewers while biting nails thinking, what the cops will do now.

After five successive seasons, Cold Case is back with another season. Season 6 is set to premiere this month so we don’t need to wait any more. Season six will premiere on September 28, 2008 and the season opener is entitled ‘Glory Days’. And, the episode will bring our goody-goody days back when we’ll have our favorite TV show with us. Well, honestly, I was missing Cold Case episodes after the season 5 finale ‘Ghost of My Child’ aired on May 4, 2008. Season 5 ended with a drug addict mother who lost her son in 2005 in an apartment fire, but later she claims to have seen her son playing in the park.

About Cold Case I would say, this is very consistent show, as you will find a new thing and a sort of freshness in every episode’s story. Hardly any episode matches with any previous one. Cold case is coming back to the silver screen with it’s sixth season now. I don’t think anybody could have expected it to run this long up to five seasons. When the show began it got average ratings and nobody was expecting it to go along with other competing crime dramas. But steadily it secured its place and ratings took a rise from the last episodes of the second season. Now the first episode of sixth season ‘Glory Days’ will air on September 28.

Initially the crime cases were pretty ordinary but slowly the creators started trying some more ideas of brutal killings and added an expression of surprise to the storyline. Like, they introduced many crime cases where even it was not confirmed that the person is dead, as human remains were found after a decade. It’s interesting to watch when somebody died a decade back is getting justice at last.

In liked several episodes from the show, though I don’t remember titles of all those episodes but the storyline was that strong that it made an impression on my mind and I remember every bit of that. I remember in one episode, the squad found nine skulls in a forest and which revealed years old serial killings.

In another episode, they find human remains from a burnt down disco club and steadily the investigation leads to the fact that twenty three killings happened in that club and to conceal that massacre the club was set to fire.

This is pretty exciting and surprising thing about the stories and I wonder if it can happen in real life that clues are still there on the crime spot after ten or twenty years. This also points out the fact that Cold Case quad has to deal with most difficult crime cases and has to tackle the smartest and most cunning criminals who have escaped clean handed after committing brutal crimes.

In an episode, Lilly had to investigate the death of an infant even. And at one stage they had to find female rapists of 1982, and this was the most happening episode of fifth season, as the squad even didn’t know the number of culprits and there was a strong possibility that many of them could have left the country and there were hardly any records about their whereabouts after passing out from college.

The sixth season is set to air from September 28, so let’s have another look on the fifth season. Most of the episodes of this season earned superb ratings. Over all the season rocked and got the entry ticket for sixth season from CBS. In the opening of the season, Lilly Rush informs Stillman that she is now ready to come back to work, as she was left injured after a hostage situation with a murderer in the finale episode of fourth season. In the very first case she tries to save the teenagers behind the bars who were wrongfully framed for the murder of ten year old kid, who was beaten to death in 1994.

Later in the episode That Woman, the squad finds a piece of clothing in an investigation and which belongs to another murder case of a high school girl. The episode World’s End went pretty well, with an old murder case of 1938. Here a woman’s remains are found at the bottom of a well and it is found from records after getting her DNA that she was a housewife who went missing in 1938. Another episode Boy Crazy does represent a horrible murder case, in which a girl is being killed because she acts and dresses up like boys. Sabotage is also one of the good episodes, where a serial bomber is in action and it’s quite difficult for team to predict his next target.

Episode The Road also depicts a different kind of story, as Scotty and Lilly move to Wes Virginia to bring a suspect in a murder case to interrogate in Philadelphia. In the entire episode they are just traveling and are hearing his side of story. Episode Slipping did get good ratings due to a rare storyline. In this episode, grand daughter of a woman who died in 1962 comes to squad to tell them that a note which was discovered from the spot where her grandmother committed suicide was written by somebody else.

The last episode of this season Ghost of my child was most happening and thrilling. As in this episode, a mother claims that she has just seen her child in a park who had died in house fire in 2005.

The day when Cold case was announced to launch and I saw it’s promos, it seemed like the storyline will be close to many similar kind of TV shows already running on silver screen, and it proved to be right to some extent. But I must say that despite a common storyline Cold Case has a distinct style of its own. Every episode begins with a flash back of the crime case depicting about how it happened. The time, date and year of crime is displayed and then the show switches on to the present year and day where the squad is busy in reinvestigation of the unsolved mystery.

The other icon of the show is that at the end of every episode a melodious song is played. To hear that especially I wait for the end of episodes. In the very first episode they played the song “Have you ever seen the rain” by Creedence. In the second episode they used Brian Adams’ popular number “Straight from the heart”. At the end of every episode they mark the case as solved and the song comes like celebration of achievement. Have you found the same style in any other crime drama? I don’t remember any such.

The other thing I like about the show is it hardly concentrates much upon the personal lives of the detectives of squad. Whatever was used was just introductory. This show has the complete focus upon the crime cases and characters are shown discussing every little clue of the case and thus the viewer gets involved in the episode and this prompts one to watch each and every bit of the episode. This is the credibility of a show which makes it to remain on screen for long.

I think here is no need to profess about the show anymore as the show is obviously doing well if it has seen five seasons and is ready to launch the sixth season.
